Drishyam Movie Story

The movie is called "Drishyam" and is set in the fictional village of Pondolem in Goa. The story follows Vijay Salgaonkar, a content businessman running a cable TV service who is married to Nandini and has two daughters, Anju and Anu.

One day, a hidden camera records Anju removing her clothes and showering during a nature camp, and the culprit, Sameer "Sam" Deshmukh, tries to blackmail her for sexual favors. In an attempt to break his cell phone, Anju accidentally kills Sam with a lead pipe, and they bury his body in their backyard.

The family is then investigated by the police, and Vijay devises a way to save his family from suspicion. He coaches his family on how to face the interrogations, and they stick to their individual stories.

Meera Deshmukh, the Inspector General of Goa Police, and Sam's mother has the Salgaonkar family arrested, and they are physically abused by Sub-Inspector Laxmikant Gaitonde to force them to confess.

Eventually, Anu reveals that she has seen a body being buried in the compost pit, but it is later revealed that it was the carcass of a dog.

Meera resigns from her post, and Vijay confesses to killing Sam when he meets Meera and her husband. He also reveals that he buried Sam's body under the new police station while it was under construction.

The movie ends with Vijay signing the register in the newly constructed police station, and as he exits, the audience learns that the body was indeed buried under the police station.
