Bhag Milkha Bhag Full Movie Story
The movie begins with Milkha Singh participating in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. His coach shouts "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag!" ("Run, Milkha, run!"), which triggers memories of his childhood during the violent partition of India in 1947.
Milkha finishes fourth in the race due to the haunting memories. The flashback shows his journey from Punjab to Delhi as a refugee, where he survives by stealing and forming friendships. As he grows up, he falls in love with Biro, who wants him to live an honest life.
Milkha joins the army and his running talent is recognized. He wins a race and gets selected for a service commission, but he is disappointed. Senior players beat him up before his selection for the Indian Olympic team,
But he still participates, overcoming his injuries, and wins the race, breaking the national record. Milkha returns to Delhi to propose to Biro, only to find out she got married and left.
During the Melbourne 1956 Olympics, Milkha is attracted to Stella, his Australian coach's granddaughter, and they spend a night together. Exhausted the next day, he loses the final race.
Feeling guilty, he regrets his actions. On the flight back to India, he learns about the world record for the 400m race and starts intense training in the Himalayas.
He competes in the 1958 Asian Games and defeats Abdul Khaliq, who had previously disrespected him. He continues his winning streak at the Commonwealth Games and breaks the 400m world record.
The prime minister of India invites Milkha to Pakistan for a race against Abdul Khaliq. Milkha initially refuses due to his traumatic past but eventually agrees. In Pakistan, he visits his village and reunites with childhood friends who survived the partition.
In the race, Milkha starts slow but gradually overtakes his opponents, impressing everyone. The president of Pakistan gives him the title of "The Flying Sikh."
Milkha's request for a national holiday in his name is granted by Jawaharlal Nehru, the prime minister of India. The movie ends with Milkha enjoying his victory lap, seeing his younger self running alongside him.
