Soul Full Movie Story
In the animated film 'Soul,' Joe Gardner, a passionate pianist and part-time music teacher in New York City, dreams of a career in jazz. When he gets an opportunity to perform with a renowned jazz musician, he falls into a manhole and finds himself in the afterlife, the 'Great Beyond.' Determined to return to life, Joe ends up in the 'Great Before,' a place where souls gain personalities before being born. Mistaken for a mentor, he is assigned to train a reluctant soul named 22, who has no interest in going to Earth.
Joe and 22 embark on a journey to find 22's 'spark'—a passion that will grant her a badge to Earth. They encounter a lost souls' zone, enlist the help of Moonwind, and ultimately return to Earth, albeit in switched bodies. While 22 explores life in Joe's body, Joe realizes the value of small moments and connections through his interactions with others. When 22 becomes a lost soul, Joe helps her rediscover her spark, learning that a spark represents an intention to live rather than a specific purpose.
As Joe contemplates his own life, he finds fulfillment in the experiences he shared with 22. In a successful jazz performance, he realizes the importance of enjoying the journey rather than solely pursuing dreams. Ultimately, Joe is given another chance at life and resolves to embrace it fully, inspiring 22 to do the same as she begins her journey on Earth.
